SME Fund 2025 - Latest Updates

The SME Fund is an EU-wide support program managed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). It provides small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with vouchers to cover part of the costs for intellectual property (IP) services such as IP Scan, trademark, and design registrations. The aim is to make IP protection more accessible and affordable, helping businesses strengthen their competitiveness in the market.

Please note:

  • Applications for these vouchers will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 (end of the working day).

  • It is expected that the application system for Vouchers 1, 2, and 3 will reopen in mid-October 2025, for approximately two weeks.

  • This will likely be the final application window under the SME Fund 2025.

Why it matters:

The SME Fund is a unique opportunity for businesses to save on essential IP services. For many SMEs, this support significantly lowers the barrier to securing trademarks, designs, and expert IP advice – tools that are vital for long-term growth and protection against unfair competition.
